Special Features
The castle retains a medieval flavor with Renaissance touches which were added later on. It was built in The inner courtyard as you enter is dramatic and austere, while the large halls with huge windows, let in sunshine and allow you to enjoy some spectacular views. .You are surrounded by Chianti countryside. The landscape is quintessential Tuscany, with vineyards, olive-groves, rolling hills and rich countryside where you could enjoy relaxing strolls. Visit castles , villas or go on a wine tasting tour nearby. There is also the possibility to do some shopping in the area. Moreover it is located near Florence, offering the possibility of museum visits, lively markets and of course fantastic restaurants and shopping. Swimming, tennis, horseback riding excursions…These are some of the possible activities in the surrounding area.
The cellars of the castle are now a bar where you can buy special gifts and local farm products (such as wine, oil and grappa). Dinner is possible in the beautiful tavern of the castle.
Sample of a typical apartment: The Castle was a wonderful place for a wedding.. The string quartet was really good. The band with singer for the dance and reception was good, also. My son sings at various places in Germany and they were such good musicians they could accompany him, too. The guests loved to dance. The restaurant at the castle was good and the wedding dinner was outstanding. The cake was extraordinary - so much better than most of the ones here. It was so good and beautiful. I could go on and on. I really want to go back.
