Special Features

The castle was built in 997 and provided a safe haven during war times for all the farmers living on its estate. The castle and the its medieval village has been restored and is now in pristine condition. It is owned by a direct ancestor of Macchiavelli.

The castle has options for weekly apartment or guest house rentals (available for stays of 1 week minimum rental (the reception location can be rented by the day), with wonderful apartments, reception halls and courtyard, pool and magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.

The views from the estate are simply beautiful: undulating hills, captivating even in Winter. Bibbione was first mentioned in documents dating back to the 10th century. Past owners include Niccolo' Macchiavelli, a famous Italian writer and philosopher, who used the castle as his hunting lodge.
