Destination Weddings in Liguria

Liguria borders southern France and its sparkling coastline is known as the Italian Riviera. Coupled with a stunning mountainous backdrop, this region is a highly popular choice for weddings in Italy.

Genoa is Liguria's capital and the largest port in Italy. This vibrant and highly atmospheric city is home to a cosmopolitan community, and its rich past has left it with a fascinatingly dense old town and some beautiful architecture.

Genoa's showpiece buildings include the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, with its stunning treasury, several medieval churches and a collection of late Renaissance palaces. Recently renovated, these palaces now hold much of the city's art. Head to inland Liguria for mountain slopes carpeted in vines and olive trees, remote mountain villages and secluded resorts high in the mountains, such as Torriglia. This part of the region provides a real contrast with the coast and has its own special appeal.
