Special Features
This beautiful property in the heart of Rome. The palace was built in the 17th century as a residence for an aristocratic Portuguese family. The hotel faces onto the Piazza della Minerva in which center stands a famous sculptor of Bernini, depicting a baby elephant. During the summer the restaurant takes up residence in the Roof Garden where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city and the Roman sunset. Ideal for a reception.
The twelve statues of the Olympic hall were sculpted by Rinaldi, and create a truly majestic setting for a sit down reception and dancing after.
Stendhal stayed here in 1836 and so did George Sand, the writer in 1885. The "winter garden" is The various luxuriously appointed halls reflect the neoclassical style with beautiful plants and lighting.
