Special Features
Since the hotel was opened, writers, artists, politicians and poets have come here to savor the unique atmosphere and setting. Among its admirers was the Empress Eugenie of France, wife of Napoleon III, who adored the romantic setting.
The various public rooms are truly one of a kind; this is quite an enchanting hotel and has become one of our favorites. Romance is certainly in the air. The terrace is a wonder and one of our more highly rated outdoor locations for receptions. The frescoes are a wonder to behold and strolling through the property you will discover special touches in every room.
The atmosphere here is certainly not of a hotel, but of a luxury private residence on the coast. Step outside and you have a selection of several civil locations one of which is a romantic former cloister with flowering vines dating from the 1300's. Everything is within walking distance.
